This is what life is about.  In light of the recent events I want to say something about how we treat each other. High school is an incredibly difficult time for most people. It’s easy to turn the other cheek to bullying or even get involved. Mob mentality takes over and going against the maddening crowd can be hard. I’m not here to make anyone feel bad about any errors of judgement in the past. We’ve all caused pain and we’ve all been hurt. I’m asking you to look toward the future. I want you to think about including the outcast kid in class or at lunch. I want you to think about saying a simple “Hello. How are you today?” with a smile behind it.  You see, when faced with a mountain of despair it often only takes a tiny act of kindness to turn thoughts of suicide into thoughts of hope.  No, a brief encounter isn’t the fix all here…but I think genuine kindness can be.  P.S.- I love you tumblrinos. You’re perfect just the way you are. :)
